Step 1: Register on Google Books
If you haven’t registered yet:
- Search “Google Books Partner” on Google and click the first link.
- Click Get Started and fill in your details:
- Publisher type: Self-published author
- Enter your name, country, and phone number
- Complete the CAPTCHA and agree to the terms
- Add your payment information to start receiving earnings.
Step 2: Pick a Trending Topic
To boost sales quickly, choose a trending topic with high search volume using Google Trends:
- Click on Current Trends to see real-time popular searches.
- Adjust filters for better results:
- Set the date to 7 Days
- Select Active Trends
- Sort by Relevance (Title)
Now you’ll see the best long-term topics to focus on for your eBook.
Step 3: Create Your eBook Content
- Use ChatGPT to generate an optimized title (there’s a free PDF with prompts in the description). Example:
Mastering the 2025 Tax Brackets: How to Maximize Your Savings and Avoid Overpaying - Use an AI app like eBook Creator to generate content:
- Generate a table of contents
- Write chapters (click Continue Generating if it pauses)
- Copy the content into Google Docs for editing:
- Use a professional font
- Add a title page, blank second page for the cover, and table of contents on the third page
- Place one chapter per page
Step 4: Design a Professional Cover
- Use ChatGPT to generate a cover prompt
- Create your cover using Leonardo AI (free):
- Choose Cinematic Kino Style for a realistic look
- Use a 2:3 ratio for book covers
- Edit the cover in Canva:
- Add title text with a neon effect
- Apply an ombre background to make the title pop
Step 5: Publish on Google Books
- Go to your Google Books Dashboard and click Add Your First Book
- Set up your book:
- Selling options: Sell eBook on Google Play
- Book ID: Select Get a Google Book ID
- Enter details:
- Add a subtitle (use ChatGPT for suggestions)
- Set the page count (based on your PDF)
- Add a publication date (leave age rating empty)
- Choose the genre (use ChatGPT for ideas if needed)
- Upload your eBook and cover
- Set your price between $5 and $9 (adjust based on content value)
